Located in Biscayne Bay, between Miami and Key Largo is Biscayne National Park. It’s everything you’d expect from a park in South Florida. Accessible only by boat, the park the home to beautiful coral reefs, tropical fish, dolphins and manatees among others. Onshore, you can visit the iconic Boca Chita Lighthouse, which has become a symbol of the park.

Established in 1980, the park is also home to one of Florida’s largest saltwater mangrove forests. You can paddle through to get an up-close look. There is perhaps no place better in the national parks to snorkel than in the clear waters of the park. Here you can see the amazing wildlife and the shipwreck remains of some of Florida’s unluckiest sailors and pirates. Choose the right time of year to go and, if you have the time, Everglades National Park is only a short distance away.
