Best Time to Go
For the best weather, visit the park between late spring and the fall. You will, of course, find the worst crowds in the high summer months. July and August see the most park visitors.
To avoid the crowds and still enjoy some decent weather, try visiting after Labor Day until the end of September. Park attendance drops about 20% from August to September, with a big drop after Labor Day.
