There are limited options for getting to the park, so you’ll want to plan far in advance.
By Air
Duluth International Airport (DLH)
Duluth International Airport is about four hours from Houghton, MI. It is serviced by Delta, Sun Country and United Airlines. From there, you’ll need to take a ferry or sea plane to arrive at the park.
Houghton County Memorial Airport (CMX)
Houghton County Airport is about fifteen minutes from Isle Royale Houghton Visitor Center. It is serviced by United Airlines. From there, you’ll need to take a ferry or sea plan to arrive at the park.
