Costs and Fees

Entrance Fee

Great Basin National Park has no entrance fee.

Camping

$20.00 for developed campgrounds per night/per site
$10.00 for Senior/Access Pass holders

Primitive campgrounds have no fee.
All park camping is on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations can be made, with the exception of the Grey Cliffs Group Campground.
Credit cards are encouraged at campground self-registration stations.

Grey Cliffs Group Campground
$30.00 per night for group sites, $20.00 for individual sites

Reservations are required for groups and recommended for smaller parties. There is a two night minimum stay for reservations. Full payment is due at the time of reservation. For cancellations made at least 24 hours before the reservation date, fees will be refunded, minus a $10 non-refundable deposit per site. No refunds are available for cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to reservation date or no shows.

Best Time to Go

The best time to visit for nice weather is May through September. High temperatures are usually warm, but not too hot. In the winter, the days can be cold and average lows can be about 20 F.

The summertime is the busiest time of the year in the park, though it rarely suffers from overcrowding. June through September are the busiest months, although visiting after Labor Day and into early October should bring nice weather and smaller crowds.

Year-Round Temperatures

Average monthly high temperatures range from an average of 84.31℉ (29.2 ℃) in July to 39.5℉ (4.2 ℃) in January.
