Best Time to Go
The best time to visit is in the summer. You may get temperatures in the 70’s and the nighttime temperatures, while cool, are still bearable. This time also sees the most visitors, although overcrowding is generally not an issue in the park.
If you visit in the winter, you’ll find cold temperatures and possibly snow. You’ll also find that many park services are not available. Visitors centers are closed for the winter and you’ll also find some roads closed as well.
Year-Round Temperatures
Average monthly high temperatures range from an average of 60.7℉ (15.9 ℃) in July to 31.6℉ (-.2 ℃) in January.
