Getting to Dry Tortugas National Park

Going to Dry Tortugas can be challenging. The best bet is to fly into Key West and take a boat from there.

Grand Junction Regional Airport is about two hours northeast of the park. It is serviced by Allegiant, American, Avelo, Delta, Fronteir and United Airlines. Currently there are no regularly scheduled international flights directly into Grand Junction.

By Car

Getting to Dry Tortugas National Park

Dry Tortugas National Park is a remote island about 70-miles (113 km) west of Key West, Florida. Cars are not able to access the island. The only methods of transportation are by boat or seaplane. Careful planning is essential to ensure a safe and fun visit to the park.

To reach Garden Key by ferry, you can check out the Yankee Freedom, a high-speed catamaran at www.drytortugas.com.
