Located in the park’s North Unit is the Caprock Coulee Loop Trail. A coulee is a deep ravine and this trail will take you through one of the more scenic parts of the park. At 4.4 miles, the trail is generally in good condition in the summer and is manageable for most people. Along the way you’ll find great views and overlooks of the valleys and river. This is a loop trail and you can choose to do it either clockwise or counterclockwise. Either way, it’s a can’t miss experience if you’re in the North Unit.
