Getting to Theodore Roosevelt National Park

Getting to the park is relatively easy. With two airports within driving distance, you can generally get to the park from anywhere.

Bismarck Airport is about two hours west of the park. It is serviced by Allegiant, American, Delta, Fronteir and United Airlines. Currently there are no regularly scheduled international flights directly into Grand Junction.

Salt Lake City International Airport is about four hours north of the park and is serviced by several every domestic and international airlines.

By Car

The park is divided into North and South Units, which are located 70 miles apart. The South Unit is in Medora, 135 miles west of Bismarck along I-94. It houses the park’s main visitor center and receives more traffic due to its proximity to I-94. The more remote North Unit is to the north, 15 miles south of Watford City, accessed via US 85.
