Best Time to Go
For the best weather, visit May through September. Here you’ll find comfortable temperatures. All roads should be open and you can enjoy everything the park has to offer. If you visit in the winter, be prepared for closed roads.
The hottest months also see the most visitors. To avoid crowds, May and October have dramatically fewer visitors. Note that it can snow any time of the year in the park, especially at higher elevations.

Average monthly high temperatures range from an average of 78.1℉ (25.6℃) in July to 25.7℉ (-3.5 ℃) in January.
