Best Time to Go

July and August are the busiest months, so going in April through June will provide a little break from the crowds. If you’re looking to hike in the park, you may want to check the forecast and choose late spring to early summer. The caves are generally a constant temperature, so they will be the same regardless of the time of year.

Year-Round Temperatures

Average monthly high temperatures range from an average of 91.0℉ (32.8℃) in July to 47.9℉ (8.8 ℃) in January.
