Top 3 "Must See"

Have limited time, or just looking for some guidance on the best way to spend your time in the park? Here are our Top 3 “Must See” attraction in the park.

The Hot Springs Mountain Tower, built in 1983, rises 216 feet into the air. It will give you a great view of the park, the surrounding area and the nearby Quachita Mountains and the Diamond Lakes area. Walking there will also give you You can climb the steps to the top or take the elevator. The tower is not owned by the park, so you’ll need to buy tickets from the operator at https://hotspringstower.com. The cost is $10 per adult, $8 for seniors and first responders and $6 for children.

Bathhouse Row is unlike anything else you’ll see in a national park. Built between 1892 and 1923, the eight opulent bathhouses are a remnant of a bygone era. They’re open to the public, so you can explore each of them. The Fordyce Bathhouse contains the park’s visitor center, so you’ll want to check that out. Throughout the bathhouses you’ll find museums, cultural centers, spas and places you can eat. Behind the row is the Grand Promenade. The wide promenade is handicap accessible and passes many of the fountains and springs that make the park famous.

The park has 26 miles of trails that run throughout. The Goat Rock and West Mountain Trail are each popular and about 2.5 miles each. The Gulpha Gorge Trail is about half as long and is great for hiking, birding and nature trips. Leashed dogs are permitted on most of the trails. Visit our Maps page for more information.
