The Museum at the Gateway Arch is free, and a ticket is not required to enter the museum or Arch visitor center. However, as in the past, tickets are required for the Tram Ride to the Top and documentary movie, which can be purchased online at www.gateawayarch.com/buytickets.
It’s strongly recommended to purchase your tram tickets in advance as tram rides sell out early and often.
Best Time to Go
April through October are the best time to visit for the best weather. September and October also see slightly less rain, which is important if you want to ride to the top of the arch for the best views.
June and July see the best visitors, so waiting until August or September should give you good weather and smaller crowds.
Year-Round Temperatures
Average monthly high temperatures range from an average of 89.6℉ (32 ℃) in July to 40.4℉ (4.7 ℃) in January.
