Congaree National Park does not charge entrance fees.
Best Time to Go
The best time to visit the park is from March through May. The weather is temperate, yet not too hot. You’ll find the largest crowds during those months, but the park generally doesn’t get overcrowded.
June, July and August will give you the highest temperatures along with higher humidity. Summer is also the rainy season.
Year-Round Temperatures
Average monthly high temperatures range from an average of 92.0℉ (33.3℃) in June to 56.1℉ (13.4 ℃) in January.
