Getting There
Getting to Canyonlands National Park
Getting to the park is relatively easy. With two airports within driving distance, you can generally get to the park from anywhere.
By Air
Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC)
Salt Lake City International Airport is about four hours north of the park and is serviced by several every domestic and international airlines.
Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT)
Grand Junction Regional Airport is about two hours from the park. It is serviced by Allegiant, American, Avelo, Delta, Frontier and United.
By Car
You will have to visit each district of the park separately; no bridges or roads connect the districts within the park.
- From US 191 north of Moab, UT 313 leads to Island in the Sky.
- From US 191 south of Moab, UT 211 leads to The Needles.
- Only unpaved roads reach The Maze (graded dirt or high-clearance, four-wheel-drive). These roads may become impassable when wet.
Getting Around
The best way to get around the park is by car. For more information about guided tours, visit our TOURS PAGE.
