Top 3 "Must See"

Have limited time, or just looking for some guidance on the best way to spend your time in the park? Here are our Top 3 “Must See” attraction in the park.

This trail is one of the must-see trails in Bryce Canyon National Park. At just under 3 miles, the trail has about 600 feet of elevation gain, so you’ll want to make sure you can tackle a moderate trail like this. If you do, the payoff will be well worth it. Along the whole way you’ll see amazing vistas and get an up-close view of the park’s many hoodoos and valleys. You can start at sunset unit or sunrise unit and end up at the other. The trail is very popular, so you’ll want to go early in the day or visit the park in the off season.

Either spot will give you a great view of Bryce Canyon, which is more or less shaped like an amphitheater. Visiting either spot during its namesake will give you the best chance to see the changing colors of the rocks. Arrive early as these spots (along with the rest of the park) can get crowded during the summer. If you arrive at the right time, you can also hear a ranger talk that will give you more information about the canyon.

Inspiration Point overlooks a veritable garden of hoodoos below. The area below, known as the Silent City contains hundreds of the slender columns. As with every other spot in the park, it’s a great place for pictures. It’s a short walk from the parking lot, so it’s easy to get to for most people. It’s a popular spot, so you’ll want to arrive early in the morning or visit in the off season.
