Getting to Big Bend National Park

Be prepared to drive to get to the park. The closest airports are over three hours away, so you’ll need to rent a car if you’re flying.

By Air

El Paso International Airport is about two hours southwest of the park and is serviced by seven domestic airlines. 

Midland International Air and Space Port (MAF)

Midland International Air and Space Port is about three hours from the park. It is serviced by American, Southwest and United.

By Car

Several highways lead to Big Bend National Park: TX 118 from Alpine to Study Butte or FM 170 from Presidio to Study Butte (then 26 miles east to park headquarters), or US 90 or US 385 to Marathon (then 70 miles south to park headquarters).
